- Ask the rights holders for the authorization to associate their piece of music and/or sound recording to your product or service.

If you are not familiar with those procedures and fee negotiations, go through a copyright clearance company.
Clarifications and cautionary statement
Following the process to the letter in obtaining a permission and a licence in due form and being able to pay the tariff does not mean you will automatically get that permission. The songwriters, performing artists and their publishers as well as the rights holders of the sound recording can oppose the pairing of their work to a product, service or cause, whether it’s political, humanitarian or social and whether it is for business or personal purposes. You must obtain their permission.
